WHAT EVERY CONTRACTOR SHOULD KNOW ABOUT PREVAILING WAGE
Presented by Deborah Wilder and open to ABC NorCal members and nonmembers alike, this intensive course covers prevailing wage in detail. Participants will practice completing time cards, processing certified payroll and completing DAS 140/142 forms and learn how recognize fraudulent records. 

Topics covered include:
Prevailing Wage Requirements Federal public works projects and state public works projects
Determining the prevailing wage rate
How to use the DIR website, classifications and coverage determinations
Certified Payroll Record Requirements
General contractor and subcontractor responsibilities
Third-party access to records
Apprenticeship Obligation State–approved apprenticeship programs
Ratio requirements Payments of apprentices and payment of apprentice training contributions Understanding certified payroll and other required forms
Penalties Fringe benefits Annualization Enforcement Labor compliance programs at the local level
