The Build Your Future scholarships support aspiring craft professionals who will go on to be the future leaders of the construction industry. Thanks to a new partnership this year with Associated Builders and Contractors, Build Your Future and the Trimmer Construction Education Foundation, these scholarships are now open to ABC apprentices across the nation.

The other day I stumbled across a great blog post by Garret Murai of Wendel, Rosen, Black and Dean, LLP (thank you Garret) and found that it made a great case for getting into construction. Today I am going to borrow some of that content now to help persuade those “on the fence” about applying to our Apprenticeship Programs that apprenticeship really can open doors to the life you want.

May is here and it's officially what we like to call our summer intake month! Construction is back in a big way and we are recruiting heavily for our apprenticeship programs in anticipation of an extremely busy summer season. If you have ever considered becoming an apprentice, now is THE PERFECT time to do it. You will earn, learn and literally build your future.

This year’s National Craft Championship Competition (NCC) in Ft. Lauderdale was fiercely intense. All three of our competitors, Richard Brown (carpentry), Joel Teeter (carpentry) and Michael Grist (electrical) felt it going in and held up amazingly under the pressure.

The ABC National Craft Championships (NCC) take place in a little less than a month - March 3-4, 2015 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. This is where the "best of the best" will compete in their craft and do what they love to do.
This year we are sending three competitors to compete in carpentry and electrical.
